Internal Corporate Standards
The existing Branch Model Rules for free distribution of workwear, safety footwear and personal protective equipment (PPE) define the range of the PPE given to a worker according to his occupation. But the question still remains: which particular kind of PPE one should choose. Being an expert in the field of labour protection, the “Vostok-Service” Association was one of the first Russian companies to offer its clients such kind of service as the development of Internal Corporate Standard in order to present a single criterion for choosing PPE to the staff of labour protection service and Material and technical departments.
Corporate Standard — is a document based on the detailed examination of the enterpirse. It comprises all the targets and means of industrial safety, labour-, health- and ecology protection. The peculiarity of the Corporate Standard is in its concentration on the particular company taking into consideration the specifity of each occupation. Also it indicates correspondence of the chosen PPE not only to the State Standards and technical conditions it mentions but to the European Norms as well.
While the Branch Model Rules define “What” and “For whom”, the Corporate Standard states “What kind”. It is worked out for all the lines of PPE, namely Workwear, safety footwear, Fall Protection Equipment etc.
It is the Corporate Standard which carries the following information:
- Requirements for the PPE construction;
- Set norms for each kind of PPE;
- Data on manufactures;
- A list of activities for each kind of PPE;
- Conditions on replacement, maintenance recommendations and special precaution measures (for its efficiency).
Nowadays Russian market of workwear and PPE is perpesented by lots of companies from inside the country and abroad. However, the client often finds it difficult to choose the right supplier as the cases of purcahsing low quality products are not rare. And it is Corporate Standard which helps to make a good choice.
